Attar (Itr) is a traditional, alcohol-free fragrance oil made from natural botanical ingredients. It is applied directly to skin in small quantities and tends to last longer than alcohol-based perfumes. It is considered halal and suitable for use during prayer.

Perfume (Eau de Parfum) contains a mix of fragrance oils and alcohol, which helps it project further and spread more quickly. Saadour offers both — our Attar Collection is alcohol-free and our Perfume range is alcohol-based.

Yes! All products in our Attar Collection are 100% alcohol-free and halal-friendly. They are made with pure fragrance oils and are safe to use before prayer. Our perfumes (Eau de Parfum) do contain alcohol — these are clearly labeled separately.
